Other ways to customize non-sublimation t-shirts, Polymation

Otras formas de personalizar camisetas no sublimables, Polimación

Previously we had discussed this topic, but now we will show you some papers that could be used to carry out this customization process on non-sublimation shirts.

We refer to polymation , this process consists of customizing t-shirts using paper that is printed with a laser printer and toner ink.

How do these papers work?

Depending on the brand and the type of paper they behave differently, but we are going to talk about some of the neenah brand. Some of the main brands in the market.

  • Image Clip Laser Light

This type of paper is used to personalize cotton t-shirts in light colors , without the need to cut.
To use the material;

  • We must print in mirror mode on the printing paper (red squares).
  • Then we must iron the polymer sheet (green squares) on the printing sheet (red squares). At 210°F for 20 seconds.
  • We remove the polymer sheet from the printing sheet.
  • We proceed to iron the shirt, iron at 375°F for 30 seconds.
  • We remove the printing paper while the shirt is still hot.

To use the material;

  • We must print in mirror mode on the printing paper ( Blue squares).
  • Then we must iron the polymer sheet (frames brown) on the printing sheet (purple squares). At 250°F for 20 seconds.
  • We remove the polymer sheet from the printing sheet.
  • We proceed to iron the shirt, iron at 350°F for 30 seconds.

The difference between these materials with respect to the transfer is the type of finish and durability they give to the shirt, which is not perceived as the typical thick layer of polyester, but rather a material that is much softer to the touch and flexible.

In our social networks we will be sharing the results obtained from the tests on these materials.
