Good afternoon, this week the blog posts have been very related to the technical parts of the business , but it seemed very important to us to strengthen this topic, since, as mentioned in the previous post, our business is an asset , not just a machine . to make money . Therefore, everything related to it must be seen as a process of growth and adaptation.

Even the employees, or as we like to mention them, the teams , are part of the growth and strengthening of a company, if you are not treating these people in the right way, you will have a business, but you have to see how long it will last in the future . time . This term is perhaps not very common in the local market to refer to the employees that make up the company, because the hierarchy is seen, that is, the boss, the finance people, among others, but, even if this hierarchy exists, they must be a team .

"What do you mean by team?", Well, a group of people who work focused on the same goal , with unity and collaboration. "I understand, how do I achieve this?" Well, by making each of your colleagues understand that the business or company is also theirs, and that all the results obtained in the projects have shared responsibility . Let's explain this idea:

Let's think about Javier, he works in a cleaning service company in the sales area, Javier is in charge of following up with clients, closing sales, among others. This April sales have dropped quite a bit in the company and they are doing an analysis of why it could have happened, but when they hold a meeting Javier is justified in saying that the head of his department did not offer him specific information about what the objectives of this and How would they be dealt with? Javier, justifying himself in this idea, stays on the sidelines and at the end of the day discusses the matter with his colleagues, who agree with him and he goes home calmly considering that nothing is his fault. But, let's analyze this case in more depth, we will not say that the fault lies solely and exclusively with Javier or his boss, perhaps both made mistakes, but if the team culture does not reign, then these cases can occur. Let's continue with the example, the excuse that the boss withheld information or could not plan the strategies for the month well is a valid reason, but the fault was both of them, the boss for not giving the information and Javier for not get interested and approach your boss to find out what the strategy would be. We also have that Javier limits himself to his schedule, if it is 4:30 and there are 30 minutes left to finish his day and he still has pending clients in the round of visits, Javier prefers to go home without further ado and leave the rest for the next day , seems normal, but Javier has only visited a total of 4 clients in the day when he had 6, is he being productive? maybe not so much, but Javier's thought is "it's not my company, I just keep my schedule".

After presenting you with this example of how the employees, those who make up the group, have a scant mentality and do not seek to go further, we want to present you with some ideas that will make them feel more involved with the business:

  • Information , shows that are relevant in the company presenting as much information as possible on issues related to the company and its growth.
  • Treatment , how you treat people will be reflected in their results, if they are just one more number, then they will work like one more number.
  • Talents , although we believe that everyone can develop their talents, your team must be made up of the best, those who understand commitment and what it takes to develop a company.
